Background:

Churches Together means all Christians from all traditions who gather together 'to be one'  John 17.11.

Churches Together in the Blyth Valley started about 20 years ago when during Christian Aid week different denominations helped with house collections.  Combined Lent Lunches followed and some evening worship took place together in the winter months to save on the heating bills.  Originally called Churches Together in Halesworth, the name was changed to Churches Together in the Blyth Valley, so as to include all the churches in the surrounding villages.  In 2001 the churches signed a covenant to work together in proclaiming the gospel and bringing in God's kingdom within the communities of the Blyth Valley.  Each church was given a framed copy of the covenant to display.

CTBV is a member of the Churches Together in Suffolk.  More information can be found at  www.ctsuffolk.org.uk.   Have fun discovering all the links and we will do our best to keep you up to date with local combined church events.
