Weddings at St Peter's Church, Spexhall
Choose St Peter’s, Spexhall for Your Romantic Rural Wedding!
St Peter’s is a tiny very old, very simple, church hidden away in the old village of Spexhall. It sits on a very old mound in lovely grounds – which are carpeted in snowdrops, primroses, and daffodils in the spring and frothing queen anne’s lace in the summer.
We have room for 70 comfortably and 80 – 90 at a bit of a squash so we suit small intimate family weddings, and blessings. The church interior is very light, ideal for taking photos and videos, and the chancel is very open so every aspect of your wedding can be seen by everyone.
We Can Offer You
- A very, very warm welcome to everyone (we can even offer welcome drinks as people arrive!)
- A beautiful setting – perfect for photographs, outside and in
- A wild life and conservation area surrounding the church for your guests to visit
- A lovely organ for music, or a high quality sound system for your own music
- A truly rural experience – the church is down a small lane, surrounded by fields
- Parking by church and across at the village hall
- The village hall for guests to use to freshen up – or even for your own drinks or reception
- Our own bespoke florist’s service – done by skilled volunteers, in consultation with you, for the cost of flowers and a donation to church funds
- A beautiful private enclosed pasture for your guests to congregate in and for photographs and video – smothered in apple blossom in may
- The option of an open-air reception by church in the pasture under the trees looking out over lovely views
- A tailor made event with as much flexibility in arrangements as you wish (and as the building can accommodate)
- Toys and books for the children to play with during the service
- A churchwarden who will liaise with you on all the arrangements and even cry herself at the wedding!
- Nascetur ridiculus mus nulla dui fusce feugiat
