Welcome to St Peter’s Holton. We’re a small church, about 25 people at most Sunday services, but a very welcoming and caring church; and we’re warm in winter too, with new heaters.
As well as Sunday services we have Morning Prayers, a quieter said service, at 9am on Fridays, attended by a handful of people.
Worship at St Peter's
You can be assured of a warm welcome at St Peter's. Our Sunday worship follows the Team liturgies, other than the monthly BCP Evensong or Evening Prayer; lay people read lessons and intercessions, and occasional services are taken by a lay elder. We are always accompanied by an organist, and although we are only a small number, we like to sing! Friday prayers are quieter and may be more contemplative.
Events at St Peter's
Pop In Parlour is on the first Friday in the month, from September to May, from 12 noon to 1.30pm in St Peter’s Room in the church. Home-made (usually) soup & bread, cheese & pickle, and conversation are enjoyed by those who come. During Lent, Pop In Parlour is replaced by a weekly Lent Lunch, following the same pattern but without the cheese & pickle! The Christmas Bazaar is on Saturday November in the Village Hall.
