What is the Ride and Stride?

Ride and Stride is an annual sponsored event, raising money for the Suffolk Historic Churches. You can choose to raise money for your local church, including those within the Blyth Valley Churches Group.

 

On the day all of the Blyth Valley Churches are open and taking part in the Ride and Stride; alongside other churches across the county. Some of our churches will be manned whilst other churches will be unmanned.

Darsham to Halesworth

Blyth Valley walking route from Suffolk Lines. From Darsham to Halesworth is a nine mile walking route from Darsham to Halesworth station, with Bramfield Church at the centre of the walk.

Chediston 5

Halesworth to Chediston

6 Mile Walking Route

Halesworth to Chediston is a six mile circular route. Visiting St Mary's Church in Halesworth and St Mary's Church in Chediston. Enjoy walking across the fields and countryside from Halesworth to Chediston, you might even get to spy some deer.

Halesworth to Blyford

6 Mile Circular Walking Route

Enjoy a beautiful walk from Halesworth to Blyford with a pause for a tipple or lunch at the lovely Queens Head Pub. Click on the button below to access a pdf version of the walk.

The Visit Halesworth is a fantastic website with lots of information on potential cycle routes and paths in and around Halesworth.

Spexhall 2 14.7.2024

Wissett to Spexhall Walking Route

A circular route starting in Wissett. Walk Via St Andrew's Church in Wissett onto St Peter's Church in Spexhall. Before heading back to Wissett. 

Bramfield, Thorington and Wenhaston

6 mile circular walking route

A perfect trek across 3 of the Blyth Valley Parishes, starting at Bramfield and heading on to Thorington and Wenhaston, before returning to Bramfield. Plenty to see on this lovely scenic walk.

Huntingfield 9

Huntingfield to Cookley

4 Mile Circular Walk

A lovely gentle walk from Huntingfield to Cookley. Be sure to take a £1 to turn the lights on and see the beautiful ceiling paintings in Huntingfield Church. You can download a pdf of the route below.
